We are currently looking for a bright, hardworking, driven Medical Assistant who believes in the power of one in making a difference in the world. This position is a great opportunity for Medical Assistants who are looking for a challenging new career working in outpatient mental health. In this position, you will work closely with the mental health providers in a team approach setting.


  • Taking medical/psychiatric history
  • Answering patient questions
  • Operating TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) device for depression/OCD treatments (will provide training to the right candidate)
  • Checking vital signs
  • Assisting the providers with ketamine therapy appointments
  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and other patient communications
  • Instructing patients about medication, treatment plan, and other instructions
  • Transmitting prescription refills as directed
  • Insurance prior authorizations

  • Current MA, CPR & BLS Certification required
  • IV experience preferred
  • Proven working experience as a medical assistant preferred
  • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures

Job Summary

Numinus is seeking talented psychotherapists or psychologist who are passionate about serving others mindfully, embracing continuous learning and who wish to be a part of a vibrant, connected community of practitioners. The ideal candidate has a depth of experience in present-moment process-oriented, phenomenological, somatic, and trauma-informed modalities and an interest in providing both psychotherapy and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy.


  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions to clinic clients, including observation, assessment and providing interventions designed to improve mental health.
  • Join a community of practice of fellow practitioners -- sharing wisdom, best practices and supporting one another.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and collegially share information that will identify client strengths, and concerns and assist clients in achieving their health and therapy goals.
  • Adhere to all rules and regulations around ethical and professional practice as set by the respective college/association.
  • Keep client records according to professional standards.
  • Participate in team meetings and training.


    • Current member in good standing with l’Ordre des psychologues du Québec (OPQ)
    • Have background/training in one of the following treatment modalities
      • Relational Somatic Therapy
      • Somatic Experiencing
      • Somatic Transformation
      • Trauma-informed care
      • Compassionate Inquiry
      • Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT)
      • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
      • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
      • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
      • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
      • Or related to above
    • Experience with peak / non-ordinary / psychedelic states is ideal

Location: Salt Lake City Area
Hybrid Role: 50% in person at various clinics, 50% remote

Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will oversee the accounting operations and controls compliance for Numinus’ US operations to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the reported financial results and ensuring that reported results comply with IFRS and securities continuous disclosures. In this role, the Controller will produce complete and accurate financial information for internal management reporting as well as be the owner of the overall financial reporting control environment of the US operations. Working closely with business partners In the US with the direction of the Director, Finance or CFO to identify strengths and opportunities for optimization within business processes and the Company’s control framework to minimize risk and increase the quality of financial information. The Controller will also be responsible for local tax compliance, US payroll, and 401k processes, while working closely with the People & Culture team.


  • Complete full-cycle accounting and month-end close process including payroll, AP, AR, and preparation of journal entries Inclusive of complex accounting Issues
  • Managing vendor relationships and ensuring timely payment of invoices in accordance with corporate policies and procedures
  • Perform full AR reconciliations to Electronic Medical Records systems and monitoring of AR balance while working with the billing team to ensure collection efforts and controls are functioning
  • Prepare KPI reporting for Numinus’ US operations reported to corporate finance
  • Identify and recommend Internal control improvements and process controls in partnership with corporate finance to ensure compliance with securities regulations
  • Assist the P&C team in all payroll, payroll deductions, tax, and year end requirements as needed
  • Assist with external audits as appropriate
  • Liaise with the Clinic Operations team and request financial information and explanations over monthly results
  • Manage multiple deadlines, prioritize tasks accordingly and meet the expectations of multiple stakeholders (corporate finance team, external auditors, senior leadership, clinic managers)
  • Be flexible and work collaboratively as a team, taking on new tasks as needed to achieve the goal of timely, accurate, and actional reporting.
  • Demonstrate excellent written communication skills providing clear and logical reasoning to support a structured argument.
  • Oversee US operations cash management program
  • Collaborate with corporate finance team on the appropriate accounting treatment of routine and non-routine transactions to ensure compliance with IFRS
  • Perform a detailed review of high-risk accounting transactions, balances, and other key spreadsheets to ensure that controls are operating effectively
  • Collaborate with corporate finance to enhance existing accounting systems, processes and procedures
  • Build partnerships with key stakeholders in the organization to address new issues as they arise and provide recommendations for resolution
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial results and provide valuable business insights for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
  • Ensure compliance of all control procedures, accounting processes and systems integrity to support accurate financial and management reporting
  • CPA designation with 7+ years of experience in senior role
  • 10+ years of experience in full cycle accounting with multi-location environments
  • Proven record of strong financial control acumen
  • Strong communication and listening skills with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Time management and problem solving
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to take initiative
  • Experience with revenue generating, scale-up phase, publicly listed companies
  • Experience with managing the preparation and filing of local tax returns
  • Experience with IFRS, Internal controls and compliance
  • Experience in health care, retail, or service industry is a plus
