Course Description

In this introductory course, you'll gain an understanding of the various psychedelic medicines and how they can be used to treat conditions like depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, substance use disorders, and others.

This course invites you to explore the world of psychedelics, their effects, their harm potential, and their potential as therapeutic tools. We will embark on a journey through time, exploring the impact of The Controlled Drugs and Substances Act in Canada and The Controlled Substances Act in the United States on psychedelic research and drug policy. This program will also explore the nuances of cultural safety and humility within the context of psychedelic-assisted therapy, recognizing the significance of inclusive and respectful practices.

This free course is open to both regulated and non-regulated providers, as well as empowered individuals looking to better understand psychedelic medicines and their healing potential.
