About

As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Courtney Marden is trained to treat the whole patient. Mental health is influenced by many factors, including stress, home environment, history, medical conditions, and lifestyle considerations. Courtney takes all these factors into consideration and ensures that you are an equal partner in your mental health treatment. Having worked in the mental health field since 2002, Courtney has experience with a wide array of mental illnesses including eating disorders, mood disorders, substance use disorders, and psychosis. Courtney graduated with her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Utah in 2021 and participated in the Nurse Practitioner Residency Program at the Salt Lake City VA and has enjoyed working with veterans. She received specialized training in PTSD diagnosis and treatment, homeless outreach services, Clozaril clinic, substance use treatment, inpatient psychiatry, and crisis intervention. She is excited to use her experience and passion to help patients improve their mental health and well-being.
