No, a doctor’s referral is not required to book this appointment. If you would like, you’re welcome to consult with your doctor and have them refer you, but it’s not a requirement.
Unfortunately, occupational therapy appointments are not covered by provincial health insurance. Patients pay at the time of their scheduled appointment and may then be reimbursed by any private insurance plans under which they have occupational therapy coverage.
