Jennifer Dorius

Life can be complex and unpredictable, and I believe everyone deserves a safe, supportive place to make sense of it. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where patients can feel genuinely heard and understood. My goal is to walk alongside my patients to explore life’s challenges and uncover new possibilities for healing and growth together.
I believe it’s never too late to create the life you want. Change is not only possible, but is a vital part of being human. Growth often happens in moments that feel uncomfortable or uncertain, and therapy offers a unique space to explore those moments with curiosity and courage.
I’m certified in EMDR and trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing. My approach is holistic and somatic, focused on integrating mind, body, and environment. I’m also keen on interventional, biological treatments in mental health and how these approaches complement traditional therapy.
Before joining Stella Mental Health, I worked in a behavioral health center supporting individuals and families through a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. My professional background also includes experience in corrections, education, and women’s wellness.
Outside of work, I find balance through biking, playing guitar, and spending time in the mountains—places that remind me to stay grounded and connected. Connection is at the heart of everything I do, and I aim to bring authenticity, openness, and even a little light-hearted fun into each session so patients can feel safe showing up exactly as they are.
Let’s get curious together about what’s feeling difficult, and discover what healing and growth may look like for you.

Courtney Shockley

Hi, I’m Courtney! I have a love for life and people. Early on I discovered that helping people find joy in life expanded far beyond ER bedside nursing. This was the catalyst to becoming a PMHNP. I am inspired by humans’ innate ability to overcome adversity through introspection, medication consideration and whole person approaches that address big and small details alike.

Being an ER nurse for 10 years I recognized firsthand the need for mental health support. From inner city hospitals to level 1 trauma centers, I saw patients who presented with physical ailments. However, it was the look of fear and hopelessness that drove my desire to reach the deeper parts of a person’s pain. From homeless addicts to postpartum mothers, to every-day life struggles, I believe in meeting a person where they are and walking with them in their journey through mental health.

Through practice of my own healing, I understand and appreciate the work that patients put into their overall wellness. I believe at the core of each of us is the desire for connection and empathy; my desire is to meet my patients where they are and help them grow to see the light in the midst of their darkness

Being a native Texan, the past two years in Utah have been an eye opening and thrilling experience! My husband, I and our five children have been on an incredible journey. This has allowed me to experience both the struggles and joys of motherhood and marriage. I enjoy farmers markets with my family, being in nature and drinking coffee on my porch every morning.
