On this episode of the Psychedelic Therapy Frontiers podcast Dr. Steve Thayer and Dr. Reid Robison are joined by Dr. Devon Christie. Devon is the senior lead of psychedelic programs at Numinus and one of the primary architects of our psychedelic therapy training programs. She teaches for the California Institute of Integral Studies Certificate Program in Psychedelic Therapy and Research, the Integrative Psychiatry Institute Certificate Program in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy, and Psychedelics Today’s VITAL program, among others. She’s a busy woman. She has expertise in mindfulness based stress reduction, relational somatic therapy for trauma, and in both MDMA and Ketamine assisted psychotherapy.
Our conversation today is wide-ranging. We talk about trauma-informed psychedelic-assisted therapy, explore the current training landscape for psychedelic therapists, discuss the similarities and differences between plant medicine ceremony and psychedelic-assisted therapy, briefly touch on the potential for psychedelics to help with chronic pain, and much more.
