About

Mike has over a decade of experience working in the mental health field. He graduated from University of Southern California with a Masters in Social Work. He has his full social worker license (LCSW) in both Utah and Arizona, and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). Mike has worked with a number of individuals to help them work through symptoms related to depression. ADHD, anxiety, and LGBTQ+ issues. In addition to those, Mike is also very familiar with helping others heal from trauma in various forms, as it seems to be a matter that is becoming more pervasive and acknowledged by our culture. He is trained in several therapeutic modalities that include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT); Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT); Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Laughter and good humor have always been important in Mike's approach to much of life -- including therapy -- which is why he spends most of his free time with friends and family doing pretty much anything that can get a laugh which includes: open mic stand-up, video games, speaking in mostly Simpsons quotes, and running a comedy podcast with his wife (who is ALSO a therapist).
