Kelsey Huson

Doctoral Candidate in Supervised Practice

Kelsey Huson is a doctoral student in Counselling Psychology at McGill University and currently works under the clinical supervision of Sarah Roberts at Numinus. Her clinical practice is guided by a person-centered approach to best support clients through their growth process. Kelsey draws from various techniques to tailor interventions which are well-suited for each client, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness. Overall, her therapeutic style is collaborative, compassionate, and non-judgemental. Kelsey believes that clients are the experts in their own lives and thus, she aims to provide a trusting and safe space to help individuals foster greater awareness, self-compassion, resilience, and a lasting sense of empowerment.
