She recognizes that it takes a lot of courage to seek professional help and she strives to build a relationship of trust, while being compassionate with those who she works with. She pulls from different modalities to help individuals heal, including CBT, and DBT. She is also currently being trained in ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy). She enjoys working with people struggling with depression and anxiety, to improve their quality of life and daily functioning. Having experienced losses of her own, she finds it meaningful working with individuals struggling with grief and loss. She has experience working with couples and acknowledges that no relationship is perfect, but that a couple can find happiness as they strive to meet the needs of each other. In her free time, Lorrie enjoys spending time with her immediate and extended family. She enjoys travelling, cooking, and gardening.
