Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

We use our advanced training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry to support and guide families through the treatment process.

What is Child & Adolescent Psychiatry?

Childhood-onset and adolescent mental health issues can significantly impact both your child and your family. Our team of experts provides comprehensive child, adolescent, and family psychiatric treatment for ages 11 and up.

Psychiatrists, Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants are medical professionals with a deep understanding of mental and physical health and their interconnected relationship. A treatment plan from a psychiatrist can help to improve wellbeing.

The Process

Your practitioner will take a comprehensive approach to your care, collaborating with other health care providers to provide your child with the best outcomes. Here is what you can expect:

Step 1: Evaluation

We’ll start with a thorough evaluation of your child’s medical and mental health history, and an overview of the treatment goals.

Step 2: Creation of Plan

Your practitioner will determine your child or adolescent’s treatment plan - it may involve a mix of medication, psychotherapy, lifestyle changes, resources, and additional support.

Step 3: Adjustments

Your practitioner will continue to support your child or adolescent and your family, closely monitoring any adverse reactions or side effects with medication. They will make adjustments to your treatment plan if something isn’t working to ensure optimal outcomes.
