Couples Therapy

A form of psychotherapy used to help those in romantic partnerships to work through conflicts and strengthen their relationship.

What is Couples Therapy?

Couples therapy is focused on fostering a healthier relationship by giving couples the tools to navigate conflicts together. Our supportive therapists create a safe and non-judgmental environment for you and your partner to openly discuss your experiences and work towards overcoming any challenges you may be facing. We are dedicated to helping people rediscover the connection and love in their relationships.

Our therapists are equipped to assist with a wide range of relationship issues, from communication difficulties to rebuilding trust after an affair. We welcome all couples, including LGBTQIA2S+ couples and Ethically Non-Monogamous partnerships, seeking therapy and are committed to helping you achieve a stronger, healthier relationship. Who is it for?

Intimate relationships (couples or polyamorous partners) seeking help in their relationship with the aim of:

  • Strengthening or deepening the relationship
  • Amicably transitioning out of the relationship
  • Repairing a relationship after a challenging event
  • Resolving conflict
  • Healing trauma
  • Improving communication
  • Finding harmony

In the event of an emergency, it’s crucial to seek help as soon as possible. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, also known as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, is available 24/7 to provide support and resources.

You can access this service by dialing 988 or by calling 1-800-273-8255.

In the case of an immediate danger to yourself or others, calling 911 should be your first course of action.

How Does It Work?

With couples therapy, you will learn how to improve communication, foster trust, and build a deeper emotional connection. Your therapist will use a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet your needs. Our goal is to help you create a positive and fulfilling relationship in all aspects.

Do I need a physician’s referral to see a therapist?

No, you do not need a doctor’s referral for this appointment. You may optionally choose to have your doctor refer you, but this is not required.

How much does a therapy session cost?

Our pricing varies depending on the practitioner and service location. Please contact us at 1-833-NUMINUS (686-4687) or book a call for more information.

I’m a Canadian resident. Does my provincial health insurance cover the cost of a therapy appointment?

Though therapy is not covered by provincial healthcare insurance and clients are responsible for paying at each session, they may receive reimbursement from private insurance plans that include therapy coverage.
