Occupational Therapy Services
Numinus offers occupational therapy services to help clients who are experiencing neurological conditions. Occupational therapy is one aspect of the more comprehensive overall approach to managing chronic conditions and injuries such as concussions and other brain injuries.
Occupational therapists are registered health care providers who work with individuals to improve the performance of meaningful activities in productivity, leisure, and self-care. Occupational therapists assist an individual’s rehabilitation by maximizing their independence and autonomy in the various functions of their lives (home, schoolwork, and leisure). Occupational therapy uses activities in productivity at home or work, self-care, and leisure hobbies or sports to help clients retain and regain function. Our occupational therapists work with clients experiencing various neurologic conditions, including headaches, concussions, persistent post-concussive symptoms, and functional neurological disorders.

FAQ
There are no age restrictions on who can see an occupational therapist.
We highly encourage you to see an occupational therapist if you have been diagnosed with concussion or persistent post-concussive symptoms.
Sessions start at $145. Please contact us at 1-833-NUMINUS (686-4687) or book a call for more information.
No, a doctor’s referral is not required to book this appointment. If you would like, you’re welcome to consult with your doctor and have them refer you, but it’s not a requirement.
Unfortunately, occupational therapy appointments are not covered by provincial health insurance. Patients pay at the time of their scheduled appointment and may then be reimbursed by any private insurance plans under which they have occupational therapy coverage.
Please let the clinic know if you were in an MVA that led to your injury when booking your appointment. Please also let your therapist know at the start of your appointment, in case an OCF-18 form needs to be completed.
