Amby (Amreen) Lakdawala (She/Her)

Master of Counselling Practicum Student

We must all occasionally confront the harsh truth that the world is not always a safe and comfortable place. Life’s lows can either weigh us down indefinitely, or they can become fertile ground for meaningful and lasting growth. If you choose the second path, then I am here to help you sow the seeds of change.

The quest is yours. It begins with a discussion to understand what your story is so far, and in which direction you wish to take it. I don’t have all the answers, but I will listen to you with respect and compassion, and we will brainstorm together to find a way forward. There will be easy days and hard days. That’s okay. You can learn the skills to reasonably co-exist with conflicting parts of yourself.

In my work, I draw from a range of evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches to help you build the emotional habits that will take you toward your life goals. With practice, you will develop the tools and techniques that will make my role in your life gradually redundant.

I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in counselling from City University of Seattle in Vancouver. To see if I am the right therapist for you, please go ahead and schedule a free 15-minute introductory call.

I can offer therapy in both English and Hindi.
