Cory Cooperman has a background that gives him insight into a variety of life situations. As a product development manager at Corel, he helped take one of Canada’s leading consumer software companies forward into the online world. He’s also worked as a first responder, a product and project manager, and as a therapist. While attending the Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology at McGill University, Cory trained as a therapist at multiple clinical sites including the Allan Memorial Institute’s Addictive Behaviours Program, its ADHD in Adults Program, and its Anxiety Disorders Unit. He completed his full-time, one year clinical internship at the Douglas Hospital Eating Disorders Program, where he used tools from a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioural, Psychodynamic, and Dialectical Behavioural, in service of connecting with clients to support them in their struggles.

At Numinus, Cory brings a client-centred approach to all of the operational aspects of the clinics. As the Regional Director of Clinical Operations (East),  he manages a team of caring administrators, fostering connection with new clients and growing the clinical presence and offerings of Mindspace in Montreal and beyond. Cory knows that the process of change is challenging, and  that it begins with the difficult first step of reaching out for help. His goal is to make sure that Mindspace makes that help available, accessible, and well-matched to client needs.
