Courtney Marden, DNP PMHNP-BC

As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Dr. Marden is trained to treat the whole patient. Mental health is influenced by many factors, including stress, home environment, past history, medical conditions, and lifestyle considerations. Dr. Marden takes all of these factors into consideration and ensures that you are an equal partner in your mental health treatment. Having worked in the mental health field since 2002 and psychiatric nursing since 2007, Dr. Marden has experience with a wide array of mental illness including eating disorders, mood disorders, substance use disorders, and psychosis. In 2018, she returned to school to become a nurse practitioner to advocate for improved mental health care and address the critical provider shortage. Dr. Marden completed her practicum training at the Salt Lake City VA and has enjoyed working with veterans. Dr. Marden graduated with her DNP in 2021 and is currently completing a year-long residency at the Salt Lake City VA to continue her work with veterans and enhance her education and experience in a variety of mental health areas including PTSD diagnosis and treatment, homeless outreach services, clozaril clinic, substance use treatment, inpatient psychiatry and crisis intervention. She is excited to use her experience and passion to help patients improve their mental health and wellbeing.
