Daniel Parker
Doctoral Candidate in Psychology (Supervised Practice)
Daniel Parker is currently a doctoral student in Counselling Psychology at McGill University, having completed his master’s degree within the same program. He currently works under the clinical supervision of Dr. Andrea Reyes and Dr. Jeff Anyan.
Daniel works with various mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, burnout, and adjusting to life transitions. Daniel’s approach is based in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), while also drawing from Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic therapy. Taking an integrative approach to his practice allows him to flexibly tailor therapy to each client’s individual challenges, needs and goals. His therapeutic style is non-judgmental, empathetic and authentic, working collaboratively with clients to identify their pre-existing strengths and develop new skills in order to overcome their challenges and engender a stronger sense of well-being in their lives. Daniel works with clients primarily in English.
