Dr. Andrew Bui-Nguyen, MD
Regional Medical Director QC
Dr. Bui-Nguyen is a primary care physician/family medicine specialist. He completed his medical degree at Université de Sherbrooke, his family medicine residency at Université Laval, as well as a post-graduate microprogram in international health at Université de Sherbrooke.
He is currently working in downtown Montreal at GMF Clinique médicale Quorum, as well as part-time at Hôpital Laurentien in Ste-Agathe-des-Monts, where he rounds patients in a rural hospitalist/intensive-care unit setting. His day-to-day work is centered around addiction and problematic substance use, as well as sexual health (STI/HIV/chronic hepatitises). As one of the very few first-line healthcare providers offering comprehensive gender-affirming treatments in Quebec, he is a strong actor in increasing access to care for the LGBTQIA2+ and other marginalized communities. He is enthusiastic to join the Mindspace team to help build the ketamine-assisted psychotherapy clinic. He is hopeful that this will blaze a trail for the advancement of psychedelic treatments in Montreal and the rest of the province. Dr Bui-Nguyen believes in patient empowerment as a driver of individual and social changes. His collaborative approach aims to celebrate differences and to bring quality human connections to the forefront of our healthcare system.
