Ej’s warm and genuine presence helps develop a collaborative therapeutic relationship that fosters a safe environment to start untangling and processing emotions while helping clients reconnect with themselves. Ej’s approach originates from a trauma-informed lens and a strengths-based perspective that encourages anti-oppressive practice. This allows for the exploration of topics that affect the way clients are able to show up in their daily routines. This approach puts clients at the centre to make sure the process is working for them on an individual basis. EJ is a Registered Social Worker who holds both a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work Degree from the University of British Columbia - Okanagan. In addition to his counselling practice, EJ is a Medical Social Worker in the UBC Hospital within the Multiple Sclerosis and Neuromyelitis Optica Clinic.
