Liz is a Utah based Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has an eclectic background working and living with individuals and family systems of all abilities and ages (people with disabilities/sudden/chronic illnesses and children in the foster system). Liz is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), is a qualified teacher of MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Brown University), and has training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention, Existential Therapy, Grief and Loss Companioning, Internal Family Systems, Ketamine/Psychedelic Assisted Therapy (KAP), Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma informed yoga (completed 200 hour training). Liz is currently working as a therapist with Cedar Clinical Research and the Chronic and Serious Illness Program. Liz also holds a Master’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation. When not at Numinus, Liz runs a small private practice where her goal is to build a safe and trusting environment that allows those who walk through the door to empower themselves to heal and grow. It is Liz’s hope that everyone leave her office feeling heard and supported - even during the most difficult of times.
