Kamryn Dean, PA-C

OREM UT

Kamryn (she/her) earned her Bachelor of Family Science degree from Utah Valley University with high honors. She later graduated from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions with her Master of Physician Assistant Studies, completing her psychiatric rotation at Cedar Psychiatry’s Springville location. During her undergraduate years, Kamryn gained a passion for mental health care while working as a psychiatric technician at Center for Change, an inpatient treatment facility for women with eating disorders. Her experiences there sparked a desire to pursue a career in medicine so that she could provide a higher level of care to her patients. While she was interested in many specialties during her medical training, she found the most fulfillment in working with patients seeking to improve their mental health. She considers it a privilege to act as a trusted confidant and medical advisor and strives to create a safe space where patients can speak and think openly during their visits. Kamryn is passionate about uplifting her patients to find the joy and value in their daily lives. She embraces a holistic approach in her practice, emphasizing proper nutrition, regular physical exercise, counseling, and meaningful social and spiritual connections in conjunction with medication where appropriate/desired. She also supports the many options for treatment-resistant conditions offered at Cedar Psychiatry. In creating individualized treatment plans, Kamryn believes strongly in empowering her patients to be captains of their own health, providing thorough and understandable patient education to facilitate shared decision-making.
