Melissa is a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work, Clinical Specialization, from the University of Calgary. She has worked with individuals and families across the lifespan for over a decade and has experience in the areas of mood & anxiety, trauma, substance use, problematic relationship patterns, identity exploration and personal growth. Through curiosity, genuine connection and a foundation of trust, Melissa supports clients to re-connect with the wisdom of their whole-self—body, mind and spirit—in navigating personal and relationship challenges. Honouring that the paths toward healing are unique, Melissa uses an integrative and relational approach to wellness. She has additional training in EMDR, Emotion-Focused Therapy, DBT, Narrative Therapy, somatic therapies and family systems. Melissa prioritizes creating a safe container where clients feel seen, heard and understood, so they can move through difficult experiences and emotions and step into their innate capacity for resilience, compassion and strength. Melissa is committed to practicing from an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed framework. She strives to provide holistic and inclusive care to clients from all walks of life.
