Niyati Gandhi, Psychologist
Niyati Gandhi is a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) who has been helping ethnically diverse adults, couples, and families across Canada, the United States, and India for over a decade. She firmly believes that every individual possesses untapped self-knowledge that can be unlocked and developed through therapy. As a therapist, Niyati approaches each session with compassion, empathy, and warmth, creating a confidential space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions safely. Niyati's therapeutic style is grounded in her training in clinical psychology and her South Asian roots, which enables her to offer a holistic approach to therapy. She blends Western psychology with Eastern philosophy, integrating some of the most effective therapeutic approaches such as cognitive-behavioral (CBT), emotion-focused, attachment-focused, and mindfulness-based therapies. Additionally, she is trained in EMDR and internal family systems (IFS), which enables her to help individuals process and integrate parts of self and their traumatic memories, reducing their distress. Apart from her training in traditional psychotherapy, Niyati has a keen interest in the therapeutic application of psychedelics. She has completed her training from Integrative Psychiatric Institute to become a Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Provider. Niyati believes that her clients truly are the experts on themselves, and her role as a therapist is to facilitate their journey of self-discovery and healing. She is committed to building a therapeutic relationship with each of her clients, which requires a sense of safety, respect, and trust.
