Named one of the Top 200 Psychedelics Lawyers, Paula has 20 years of broad experience gained through a career in private practice at law firms, and in executive roles within Canadian and Multinational financial services companies and Canadian and US listed public companies.
Paula has a proven track record of bridging traditional financial services, capital markets and risk underwriting with the emerging psychedelics industry through a unique combination of legal, compliance, anti-money laundering and operational experience. She successfully listed the first psychedelics company to make psilocybin available to consumers on the TSX and TSXV, and the first psychedelics company on the Global Select Tier of the NASDAQ Stock Exchange, thereby facilitating capital formation. Paula also managed Canadian and US securities offerings totaling approximately $150MM in the sector in 18 months and the insurance book for three public psychedelics companies.
As one of the Top 50 Female Leaders in Toronto (2022), Paula is driven to make a positive change in the world through mentorship, volunteering, speaking and writing. Paula served as a member and Vice Chair of IIROC’s district counsel for Ontario and a member of the Canadian Advisory Board for the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
In addition to her Juris Doctor, Paula holds a BA in Psychology from McGill University and a Graduate Certificate in Risk Management from the University of Toronto. She is also a Certified Life Coach.
