Registered Clinical Counsellor

Tamara Pearl a Registered Clinical Counsellor who has worked and taught in the field of trauma healing for over 20 years in a variety of settings. She uses somatic therapies, expressive arts therapy, EMDR, self-compassion, and other modalities. She has a certificate in Indigenous Focusing Oriented Therapy for Complex Trauma and is particularly interested in helping people heal personal, intergenerational, and collective trauma through accessing the body’s felt sense, or innate inner wisdom.

Tamara taught counselling as an adjunct faculty member at Adler University for four years, and has worked at the Chopra Addiction and Wellness Centre and at Roots to Thrive, facilitating ketamine assisted therapy. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Education at SFU, where her research is focused on the power of healing relationships at an Indigenous Healing Village/prison. She is honoured to accompany people on their healing journeys.
